Home Going Services for Mr. Joe Grimes, 69 of Gainesville, GA will be held Monday, August 5, 2013, 1:00pm at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 705 Summit Street SE Gainesville, GA. 30501. Rev. Dr. Clarence Edward Thrower Jr. pastor/eulogist.

Mr. Grimes family will receive family and friends on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 6:00pm-7:00pm.at the chapel of Young's Funeral Home 1553 Old Athens Road Gainesville, Ga. 30507, 770-535-8189.

Mr. Grimes was born in Hall County Georgia to the late Mrs. Ruth Payne Grimes and the late Mr. Horace Nathaniel Grimes. They resided in Westminster, SC for some time and then moved back to Gainesville, GA.

He was a graduate of Blue Ridge High School in Seneca, SC. In 1965 he married his high school sweetheart Robbie Ann Coles. He was employed by Fieldale Farms until he became disabled. Joe had a number of hobbies that included fishing, watching movies, and listening to music.

Mr. Grimes is survived by his wife, Mrs. Robbie Ann Grimes; his daughter, Mrs. Sulanda (Tony) Hansen all of West Union, SC; one sister, Mrs. Patricia (Lamar) Osborne; special cousin, Mr. Douglass (Beverly) Payne all of Gainesville, GA; three grandchildren, Mr. Trae Earle, Mr. Amari Hansen, and Ms. Brittany Hansen all of West Union, SC and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Family and friends are asked to assemble at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, 705 Summit Street SE Gainesville, GA. 30501 at 12:30pm.
