Eston D. Chapman

Eston D. Chapman, age 78 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend James Wilbank and Reverend Joey Gilbert will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 1 - 9 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Chapman was born July 14, 1935 in Dawsonville, Georgia to the late John Henry Chapman and Zona Bennett Chapman. He was retired from Gainesville City School System and was of the Baptist Faith. Eston was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Stacey Chapman, three of his brothers, Eugene, Grady and R. H. Chapman and his sister, Jessie Gwenell Beck.

Mr. Chapman is survived by his wife, Sandra Chapman of Gainesville, his sons, Casey Chapman and Davey Chapman, both of Gainesville and his brothers, Roger Chapman of Dahlonega and J. L. Chapman of Cumming.
