Young Isaac Cathey

Funeral services for Young Isaac Cathey, age 73 of Toccoa will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Paul Flynn and Dr. Don Drawdy will officiate with interment to follow the service in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Cathey died Friday, July 26, 2013 following a period of declining health.

Born on March 6, 1940 in Helen, Georgia, Mr. Cathey was the son of the late Ralph Young and Docia Welborn Cathey. Mr. Cathey was retired from Wilson Chevrolet where he was a Master Automotive Mechanic. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cathey was preceded in death by brother William Cathey and sister Phoebe Cathey.

Survivors include daughters and sons in law Susie and Ellis Godshall of Atlanta and Laura Ann and Larry Robinson of Toccoa, son and daughter in law Mark and Pat Cathey of Martin, daughter Alicia Cathey of Port St. Lucie, Florida, sister Rachel Dunbar of Houston, Texas, sister and brother in law Yvonne and Fred Lovell of Clarkesville, as well as six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
