Rocky Lamar Kendall

Rocky Lamar Kendall, age 54 of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.


Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, July 29, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Waters officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm and on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.


Mr. Kendall was born June 19, 1959 in Gainesville, GA to the late James Kendall and Verdell Pettitt. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother to many and he will be missed by all. He loved to camp, fish and interact with his numerous friends on Facebook. He will be missed by his special fur-kid, TJ. He also loved his church family.


Mr. Kendall is survived by his wife of 18 years, Barbara Kendall of Gainesville; son, Shannon Kendall of Gainesville; daughter, Marissa Murphy of Gainesville; daughter, Brandy Kendall of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Kimberly Kendall of Gainesville; step-son, Michael Grizzle of Gainesville; step-son, David Grizzle of Gainesville; brother and wife, Nick and Missy Pettitt of Gainesville; one niece and one nephew; 8 grandchildren and many friends and family.
