Ted Willis

Mr. Ted Willis, age 66, of Buford, GA passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Mary Jean Brown Willis, Buford, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Martha Willis, Buford, GA; grandchildren, William Willis, Luke Willis and Matthew Willis; mother, Ruby McGuire Willis, Waynesboro, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Wayne Austin, Hiawassee, GA, Cathy and Dennis Withers, Hephzibah, GA and Carol Pearson, Augusta, GA; and brothers and sister-in-law, Edward Willis, Waynesboro, GA, Steve and Angela Willis, Martinez, GA and Wayne Willis, Waynesboro, GA.

Mr. Willis was born June 19, 1947 in Pembroke, VA. He attended Patterson High School. He was a Vietnam veteran and a member of the Buford American Legion Post 127. He retired from OKI Telecom in Suwanee, GA and also from Sears Roebuck after seventeen years of service.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at The Springs United Methodist Church, 7380 Spout Springs Road, Flowery Branch, GA 30542 with Rev. Jamie Hudgins and Rev. Andy Witt officiating. Interment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with military honors. The family will receive friends at the church Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
