Georgia Medical Center room 1107 at 8:20 pm to go be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be reunited with her son Randy, her grandson Chris, Jim and many other family members and friends. She was surrounded by loving family and the compassionate staff of NGMC S1B. She had courageously battled illness' and health issues for several years.

She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. To her son Ron's family family she was known as "Maw Maw" and to her daughter Frankie's family she was "Me-maw Suggs."

She was a retired nurse of over 46 years. She started her nursing career in what was then the brand new Hall County Hospital, now known as NGMC. Over the years she worked at the doctor offices of Dr. Billy S. Hardman, Dr. Robert Jennings, Dr. W.D. Stribling, Dr. Sam Poole and was there when Dr. Allen Butts Sr joined their practice. During the years she was working at these practices she was also doing private duty nursing at the hospital or patients homes. She later moved to Winder and lived there for 20 years. She worked at Winder-Barrow Hospital for many years before retiring. After retiring from the hospital she continued her nursing career doing agency work and traveling all over the Northeast Georgia area. An auto accident with bad injuries in 1994 forced her to end her beloved nursing career. Her passion in both nursing and her life was to help and serve others. Even in death she thought of others. She donated her body to a medical college to be used as a teaching aid for young medical students.

She was a member of Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church where she worshiped her Lord, surrounded by a large and loving church family. She was a mighty prayer warrior and will be greatly missed there.

She was the ninth and last child of Mattie Hayes Dodd and Bidgey Dodd of Gainesville. She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings; her four brothers Bill, J.D., Frank, and Jesse Dodd; her four sisters Daisy Hulsey, Tennie McDougal, Winnie Smith, and Louise Dodd. John Lance will officiate. The family will receive friends from 9-10:45am prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
