Janett Edge Smith

Janett Edge Smith, age 86 of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at her residence following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Dwayne Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 and Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.


Ms. Smith was born April 22, 1927 in Cleveland, Georgia to the late George Edge and Ona London Edge. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. View Baptist Church in Cleveland. Janett was preceded in death by her parents and her sons, Eddie Dean Smith, Paul Edward Smith, Jr. and Harold George Holloway.


Ms. Smith is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wanda & Larry Allison of Cleveland, daughter, Margie Morris of Gainesville, sons and daughters-in-law, Larry & Nancy Holloway and Frankie & Holly Smith, all of Gainesville, 22 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
