Roy Lee Christian

Mr. Roy Lee Christian, age 88, of Murrayville, GA, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013.

Roy Lee was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County where he spent a number of years as a poultry farmer. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII in Japan, and was a member of Community Chapel Church in Lumpkin County.

Mr. Christian was the son of the late Ed D. and Erolene Arrendale Christian; and was also preceded in death by his brother, Rufe Ed Christian.

Roy Lee is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ida Christian; daughters and sons-in-law, Regina and Randy Moss, Jasper, GA, Renita and Danny Roberts, Suches, GA, and grandchildren, Emily Moss, Christopher Roberts, Andrew Moss, and Alexander Roberts. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Roy Lee are scheduled for 11 AM Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Community Chapel Church in Lumpkin County.

Rev. JR Fields will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors provided by the Veteran's Alliance Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega from 5PM until 9PM on Friday, July 12, 2013.
