James Anglin

James Anglin, age 79 of Gainesville, entered Heaven's streets of gold with Jesus on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Gwinnett Medical Center following a strong fight with cancer. His daughter, DeAnna held his hand with family and friends by their side.


Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home, North Riverside. Reverend Doug Gann will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 5 - 6 pm, prior to the service at the North Riverside Funeral Home.

Mr. Anglin was born January 5, 1934 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Luther W. Anglin and Mary A. Anglin. He worked as an Electrician and Builder. James proudly served in the U. S. Army and was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby Stephens, Martha Woodring and Katie Anglin and brothers, Henry Anglin, Ed Anglin and J. C. Anglin.

Mr. Anglin is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Turk Anglin, daughter, DeAnna Anglin Martin, both of Gainesville, grandson, Nathan J. Martin of Buffalo, New York, brother, Bill "Willie" Anglin of Gainesville, two sisters, Joyce Etris and Mary Moore, both of Gainesville and a number of nieces, nephews, dear family and friends.



Memorial Park Funeral Home, North Riverside Chapel, 989 Riverside Drive, Gainesville, GA 30501 is in charge of arrangements.
