Ryan Hunter Edwards

Ryan Hunter Edwards, age 16, concluded his extraordinary earthly adventure on July 3, 2013. During a mother and son camping trip, Ryan suffered a hiking accident along the Appalachian Trail in Georgia. Ryan was born in the United Kingdom and lived in many locations with his military family. He attended Grafton High School and was very active in drama productions. Ryan was also a member of Boy Scout Troop 242 where he was pursuing the rank of Eagle Scout.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Edwards, of Yorktown, VA, Bruce Edwards, of Tucson, AZ , brother, Jason Edwards, sister, Leah Edwards, and nephew, Camden Edwards, grandparents, Anthony and Beverly Albano, and Barbara Edwards.

Funeral Mass and reception will be held at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 315 Harris Grove Lane, Yorktown, VA 23692 on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM.

Ryan would want the boys to keep going on adventures. Therefore, the family is requesting that donations be made to BSA Troop 242, C/O Knights of Columbus Council 5480, 12742 Nettles Dr., Newport News, VA 23606.
