Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of John Stewart Clark, age 44 of Dahlonega. Mr. Clark passed away Monday, July 8, 2013.
Stewart was born in Columbia, South Carolina, November 10,1968 to Feagin "Tony" Clark and Rebecca Macaulay Clark. He served with honor in the United States Navy and was a 1998 graduate of Frances Marion University in Florence, S.C., earning a degree in Mass Communications.
Stewart had lived in White County since 2009 and was a member of Cleveland Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Deacon. He loved sports and was an avid golfer. Stewart had a special passion for College sports, especially the University of South Carolina "Gamecocks", the New York Yankees and the Duke "Blue Devils".
He is survived by his son, Grayson Loftis Clark, Dillon, South Carolina; parents, Feagin D. "Tony" and Rebecca Clark of Dahlonega; sister and brother in law, Price and Bryan Cook of Goose Creek, South Carolina.
Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 20, 2013 from First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland with Rev. Paul Evans and Dr. Roe Callaway officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. In addition, memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 2:00pm from teh First Presbyterian Church in Bennettsvile, South Carolina.
Flowers will be acknowledged, however the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Ste. 222, Gainesville, Georgia 30501 or the National Stroke Association, 9707 E. Easter Lane, Suite B, Centennial,CO.80112-3754 or the charity of your choice.
