Karl Patrick Schlieman

Karl Patrick Schlieman, age 55 of Clarkesville, passed away Thursday July 4, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Schlieman was born January 5, 1958 in Rochester, NY to Henry (Tom) and the late LaVerne Rivers Schlieman. He was a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service after 34 years of service. Mr. Schlieman was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Finklea.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Schlieman, Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Crystal Schlieman, Clermont; daughter and son-in-law, Steph and Brandon Holcomb, Clarkesville; son, Austin Schlieman, Boston, MA; father, Henry Schlieman, Snellville; grandchildren, Alex Schlieman, Allizah Schlieman, Payson Holcomb; sister, Kathy Smallwood, Woodstock.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Sunday July, 7, 2013 at the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Jan Devereaux and the Rev. Phil DeMore will officiate. Interment will follow in Yonah View Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
