Edgar Smith

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. July 3, 2013 in Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, for Rev. Edgar Smith , age 83 of Clermont. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday July 2,2013 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Wauka Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dale Abernathy and Rev. Junior Abernathy will officiate. Rev. Smith was a retired mechanic and had worked for Jessie D. Smith in Gainesville. He pastured at Wauka Mountain Baptist Church, Dukes Creek Baptist Church and Philippi Baptist Church.Rev. Smith was a member of Wauka Mountain Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Guthier Smith, his son, Jimmy Smith, two daughters, Gayle Gordon, Janet Thomas, all of Clermont. His sisters, Brenda Brown, Imogene Adams. His step-daughters, Anglia Williams, Jennifer Daualt, Laura Langsdale, Christina Garrett, his step-son, Dan Sinton, 2l Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren.
