Lois Howington King

Mrs. Lois Howington King, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, age 93, of Commerce, GA went to heaven on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at her residence and was very much loved by family.

Mrs. King was born in Commerce to the late Newell and Callie Weldon Howington. She was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church and was retired from Waters Furniture. In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband, Wiseman King; sons, Paul King and Otis King and grandson, Christopher Todd King.

Mrs. King is survived by her son, Odell King of Ila; sister, Rosanell Henry of Daytona, FL; a special nephew and niece, Ronnie and Cathy Howington of Clarkesville; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Tuesday, July 2 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. David Harbin and Rev. Swayne Carlan officiating.

Interment will follow in Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.
