James Truett Nicholson

Funeral services for James Truett Nicholson, age 78, of Demorest will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 30, 2013 from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Austin Kelley and Rev. Anthony Shore will officiate with interment to follow in Hillside Gardens Cemetery.




Mr. Nicholson passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013.




Born on October 26, 1934 in Habersham County Mr. Nicholson was the son of the late William "Willie" A. and Nancy Spivey Nicholson. Mr. Nicholson was a United States Army Veteran and he was retired from Habersham Electric Membership Corporation. In addition to his parents, Mr. Nicholson is preceded in death by infant daughter Tina Renee Nicholson, brothers Clyde, Claude, Homer, Willie J., Holt, and Turner Nicholson and sisters Jean Free, Susie Kennedy, Hester Sosebee, Hattie Waddell, and Lucy Jenkins.




Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Irvin Nicholson of Demorest, son and daughter in law Mark and Vicki Nicholson of Gainesville, and grandchildren Casey Elizabeth Nicholson and Hattie Grace Nicholson.




The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 2-4 PM and from 6-9 PM.
