Hazel C. Wehunt

Mrs. Hazel Jeanette Collins Wehunt, 85 of Dahlonega passed away Wednesday June 19, 2013 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Forsyth County, Mrs. Wehunt was the daughter of the late Coleman and Faye Gaddis Collins. She had lived in Lumpkin County for a number of years, and was retired from Southern Bell now AT & T where she worked as a draft engineer. Mrs. Wehunt was a member of the Antioch Holiness Church in Lula.

Mrs. Wehunt is preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Wehunt and a sister, Leota Deal.

Survivors include her son, Tim Wehunt, Dahlonega; brother, Coleman Collins, Jr., Cleveland; sisters, Betty Jean Corn and Evelyn Wallace, both of Gainesville, granddaughter, Amanda Marie Wehunt, niece and nephew, Sue and Dan Seitz, Dahlonega. a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 22, 2013 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jacob Armour and Rev. Terry Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from noon until the funeral hour.
