Eugene Talmadge Witcher

Eugene Talmadge Witcher, age 78, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013, at his residence following a sudden illness.

Mr. Witcher was born on June 1, 1935, in Bowman, Georgia, to the late T. Frank and Julia Dickerson Witcher. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Judson Witcher and his sister, Marie Malcolm. Mr. Witcher was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from Benson Bakery. He was a member of Glade Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Sara Witcher, Clarkesville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and David Coile, Cleveland, GA; son, Robert Witcher, Clarkesville, GA; sisters, Dorothy Garner, Bowman, GA, Lois Ragland, Athens, GA, Sue Parks, Carlton, GA, Judy Booth, Colbert, GA, and Martha Bridges, Bowman, GA; brothers, Kenneth Witcher, Demorest, GA and Frank Witcher, Hartwell, GA; grandchildren, Tammy Maxey, Kassie McCauley, Nicholas Witcher, Brittany Witcher, Whitney Witcher, and Tiffany Witcher; and great-grandchildren, Arsen McCauley and Kaylee Witcher.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Glade Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Justus officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour on Thursday at the church.
