Mr. Jesse Logan Barnett, age 82, of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Mildred Brown Barnett; sisters, Edith White and Louise Christie; and brothers, Ralph Barnett and Ron Barnett.
He is survived by his children, Virginia Charlson, Winder, GA, Robin and Fred Mason Bethlehem, GA, Melissa and Adrian Polk, Dade City, FL and Jack Townley, Roswell, GA; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Glenna Miller, Cincinnati, OH; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Nuel Brown Melton, Buford, GA, Margaret and Bobby Sams, South Carolina and Ruth Allen Brown, Lawrenceville, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Herman and Travis Brown, Buford, GA and Rennis and Janice Brown, Buford, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Barnett was born July 17, 1930 in Albany, NY. He was a retired chief petty officer from the U. S. Air Force and a retired chief engineer from Rouse Co. in Dunwoody, GA. He was a member of the Loganville American Legion Post and the Dacula Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Ferguson and Rev. Craig Dale officiating. Interment will follow at Ivy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Buford, GA with military honors.
