Mrs. Linda Edwards Rhodes, age 65, of Dacula, GA passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jessie Lee Gunter Edwards. She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Rev. William "Buddy" Rhodes, Dacula, GA; children, Shannon and Rhonda Rhodes, Sautee, GA, Robyn and Scott Johnson, Dacula, GA and Julie and Shane Fordham, Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Haley Piperakis, Micah Rhodes, Kelcie Johnson, McKensey Johnson, Ella Fordham and Taylor Fordham; great grandson, Zeke Piperakis; sisters and brothers in law, Brenda Tanner, Tallahassee, FL, Sandra and Bobby Byers, Waco, GA and Janel and Billy Jones, Lawrenceville, GA; brother and sister in law Sam and Brenda Edwards, Newnan, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Rhodes was born September 6, 1947 in Lawrenceville, GA and was a 1965 graduate of Central Gwinnett High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Lloyd Ferguson, Rev. Shannon Rhodes and Rev. Kenny Kuykendall officiating. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
