Jacqueline "Jackie" Hanes Shinkle, age 71, of Buford, GA passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack J. Hanes and Della Fraley Hanes of Dayton, OH. She is survived by her daughter, Christine C. Harris and son-in-law John A. Harris of Dacula, GA and grandchildren Johnny, Riley and Cooper Harris of Dacula, GA.
Jackie was born on November 28, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio. She was a 1959 graduate of John H. Patterson Cooperative High School in Dayton, Ohio. She was employed for many years at Mound Laboratory in Miamisburg, Ohio. Jackie never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 11am in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, 4400 S. Lee St., Buford, GA 30518.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home starting at 10am. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Peachtree Christian Hospice during the final days of Jackie's life. They are truly angels on Earth.
