Agnes Cantrell

Agnes Cantrell peacefully entered into rest at age 90 on June 2, 2013. Born July 18, 1922. She is predeceased by her husband Emory "Strut" Cantrell.

She assisted in rearing three nieces and nephews: Faye (Willie Jay) Burris, Bobby J. (Joan) Anderson and the late Larry Anderson. Their children survive her: Deanna (Walter) Rucker; Mark, Michael and Misty Burris; Bobby Anderson, and Sherri Armstrong. She is affectionately called Granny Agnes by Jasmine & Ashleigh Rucker; Nelson Anderson; Caleb & Brittany Burris; Monet Burris; and Teya & Donovan Armstrong. She leaves to cherish her memory her niece and nephew Shirley King and James Jackson and godchildren: Jackie (Violet) Waldrip and Linda Waldrip Rose; and a host of relatives, friends and Gethsemane church family.



Wake hours, Friday, June 7th, 7-8, Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home. Funeral services, Saturday, June 8th at 1 PM at New Life Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home.
