John Henry Autry

Ivie Funeral Home, Madison County Chapel in Danielsville, announces services for John Henry Autry, 90, of Danielsville who passed away on Saturday at the Northridge Health and Rehab Center in Commerce. Born in Madison County, he was the son of the late Frank and Mamie Texas Thomas Autry and was married to the late Jessie Elizabeth Standridge Autry. Mr. Autry was retired from Liberty National Insurance Company after have worked there for approximately 25 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a special, special friend, Ruth Fleming; his children, Geraldine and the late Norman Fitzpatrick of Gainesville, Barbara and Early Bonds of Commerce, John Larry and Ann Autry of Danielsville, Grady and Mary Autry of Danielsville and Ronnie and Beth Autry, also of Danielsville; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; brothers, Billy Autry of Athens, Frank Autry of Statham and Mitchell Autry of Comer.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday at 2 PM from the Moon's Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Fuller and Rev. Tom Dial officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM. Mr. Autry will lie in state at the church for 30 minutes prior to the service.
