Swayne J. Forrester

Mr. Swayne J. Forrester, age 94, of Lula, GA died Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth. Mr. Forrester was born in Banks County, GA to the late C.C. and Maggie Woods Forrester. He was a member of Homer Baptist Church and Phi Delta Lodge #148 F&AM. Mr. Forrester was retired from General Motors. In addition to his parents, Mr. Forrester was preceded in death his sister, Grace White and brother, O'dell Forrester.

Mr. Forrester is survived by his wife, Dorothy Drake Forrester of Lula; sons, Gary Forrester (Penni) of Lula and Frank Dey (Cannie) of Buford; daughters, Agatha F. Ables (Tommy) of Gainesville and Teresa Browning (Rick) of Dunwoody; grandchildren, Greg Forrester, Ken Forrester, Forrest Ables, Chris Browning, Winolee Furtney, Elizabeth Furtney, Christy Dey, Frankie Dey, Angela Macneil and Eric Browning.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, June 2 at Homer Baptist Church with Rev. James Duncan and Rev. James Dumas officiating. Interment will follow at Banks Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday night from 6 to 8 PM.
