Bernice Broome Savage Dailey

Bernice Broome Savage Dailey, age 71 of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born on September 10, 1941, in Banks County, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Zadie Smith Broome. Mrs. Dailey was retired with T.C. Baycor and was a member of Glade Creek Baptist Church. In her spare time, Mrs. Dailey enjoyed traveling, especially road trips, reading, collecting cookbooks and cooking.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dailey was also preceded in death by her former husband, Jerry Savage; brothers, George, Marvin and James Emory Broome; sister, Madeline Forrester and Vera Dalton.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Stanley Ansley of Mt. Airy; daughter, Cindy Sapp of Mt. Airy; son, John Savage and partner Kenny Williams of Mt. Airy; brother, Jack Broome of Mt. Airy; sister, Bessie Brown of Mt. Airy; grandchildren and spouses, Christy and Chris Peck, Nicole and Chris Souther, Megan and Trent Ivester and Noah Swain; great grandchildren, Nora Peck, Fayeth Ivester, Belle Ivester and Cora Ivester; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services are 2:00 pm Sunday, June 02, 2013, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. John Thomas and Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Michael Justice officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 pm on Saturday.
