Betty Elizabeth McNeil

Mrs. Betty Elizabeth McNeil age 76 of Gainesville passed away on Saturday May 25, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday May 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Frank Ford will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday May 26, 2013 and Monday May 27, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. McNeil was born on March 19, 1937 in Greenville, South Carolina to the late Maude Stamey Hood. She was retired from 3D Cleaners as a Counter Clerk and attended Oakwood Gospel Tabernacle. She is preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by her husband, Roland McNeil Sr. of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Patrick Hamilton of West Virginia, son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Cindy Ford of Flowery Branch, son, Reverend Frank and Sadie Ford of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Rachelle Ford of Dawsonville, daughter, Elizabeth Starley of Gainesville, step-daughter, Kathy McNeil of Gainesville, step-son and wife, Roland Jr. and Gracie McNeil of Flowery Branch, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters, Virginia McClain and Linda Stamey of Greenville, South Carolina, brother, Calvin Stamey of Greenville, South Carolina.
