Grady Richardson

Mr. Grady Richardson, 82, was born on April 16, 1931 to the late Valon and Cathlean Richardson in White County, Georgia. The Lord called him home to glory on Thursday, May 23, 2013 after battling an illness.

He dedicated his life to Christ and he believed in family values. He has accomplished many great things throughout his eighty-two years. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Gainesville, Georgia. He served our country by joining the United States Armed Forces where he fought in the Korean War. He has served as president of the Rock Springs Campground. He was a past commander of the Eugene Brown American Legion. He was a very successful entrepreneur until his retirement. He was preceded in death by all of his brothers and sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 60 years, Almeria H. Richardson. Brothers-in-law Eddie Hendrix and Otis (Margaret) Hendrix. Sisters-in-law Earsell (Franklin) Buffington, Louise Gaudlock, and Blondine Jackson all of Gainesville, Georgia. Children Leonard Odell (Shirley Ann) Saddler of Flowery Branch, Georgia. Louvenia Richardson, Mandy Mae (Roger) Lee, Sherry Maria (Tim) Mize, Grady Odell Richardson,Jr., and John Fitzgerald Richardson all of Gainesville, Georgia. Grandchildren Bryant Saddler, LaCorsha (Henley) Allen, Tamika Jackson, Royneice Lee, Miosha Lee, Roger Lee, Jr., Tribecca Mize, and Caleb Mize. Great-grandchildren Paisley Lee, Micah Saddler, Bryanna Saddler, Shariah Cantrell, Jahmeil Cantrell, Malik Lee, Kahlil Mize-Jackson, Clayton C.J. Clark, and Darion Allen. Good friends Mr. Clyde and Faye Dell Demory and a host of other relatives and friends.
Wake services have been planned for Tuesday May 28, 2013 from 6-8 pm at St. Paul UMC, Summit St. and Funeral services are planned for Wed May 29, 2013 at 1pm. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home
