Lowell (Sandy) D. Sandven

Lowell "Sandy" D. Sandven departed this life on May 20, 2013 after a determined fight with Wegener's and Goodpasture Diseases.

Lowell is survived by his wife of 67 years, Norma, his brother Gilbert Sandven of Humboldt, IA, his sister Sharon Saul and her husband Peter of Rowlett, TX, his brothers-in-law Paul Leaverton and wife, Su of Tampa, FL and Don Leaverton and wife, Lois of Sun Lake, AZ.

He was the father of Dean Sandven and his wife Ann of Yorba Linda, CA, Julie Adams and husband J.P. of El Lago, TX and Brian Sandven and wife, Becky of Clarkesville, GA.

He was the Grandfather of Erik Sandven, Katie Sandven, Kyle Sandven and wife Alexis, Kory Sandven and wife, Fatima, Aaron Provost and wife Melissa, Brandy Henderson and husband Bryan and Kelly Byerley and husband, Matthew. Lowell had 11 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandson with many nieces, nephews and cousins in this loving and extended family.

Lowell was born to Levi and Pearl Sandven on April 25, 1926 in rural Humboldt, IA as the second of 5 children. He was the first in his family to leave farming to pursue other business opportunities with Norma which lead them to live in many places across the Midwest, many of those years spent living in St. Louis, MO. Lastly they resided in Clarkesville, GA where he took time to fish and garden with his sweetheart, Norma. He was scheduled to retire OH on May 31st after nearly 32 years of joyously serving RPM, Inc. of Medina.

Lowell's ("Sandy's") wry wit and sparkling eyes entertained all throughout his life. He gathered a multitude of loyal friends and family in his lifetime who will remember him for his wisdom, generosity and love of family.
