Albert Denny

Albert Denny, age 66, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013, of a sudden illness at his residence.

Mr. Denny was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 4, 1946. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Carol Sampson Pokorny and Robert Pokorny. He attended Harmony Baptist Church. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving his country in Korea and the Philippines. Mr. Denny was employed with Southeastern Freight Line.

Survivors include wife, Carol Denny, Alto; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and David Ivester, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Tina Denny, Clermont; son, Brian Denny, Arcade; sister, Linda Luce, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela Parrish and Cleve, Tucson, AZ; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cynthia Pokorny, Tucson, AZ; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, May, 26, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. David Turner and Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens with The National Guard presenting military honors.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
