Obituary Date: Friday, May 17, 2013
Richard "Sweet Pea" Dockery Dover, age 71, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 following an extended illness.

Richard was retired from Ronald Fortner Trucking and Paving where he worked as a diesel mechanic. He was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County and of the Baptist Faith. The son of the late Andrew and Annie Mae Woody Dover, he was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ramie and Lois Moose.

Richard's great enjoyments in life were going to McDonald's and eating breakfast with his grandson every morning. He also loved hunting, whether it was rabbit, coon, or deer. He also loved gardening very much. His garden was one of the most beautiful ones around. These are the loves of Richard Dover that made him "Daddy", "Pa", and "Husband" to his family, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Susie Moose Dover; daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Jonathan Sullens, Vickie and Johnny Chattin, Sandy and Robbie McCullough, Lesa and Richard Hayes; very special sister-in-law, Nell Bearden; and grandchildren, Richard Justin and Richard Hunter Hayes, Megan Sullens, Caroline, Carlee, Ava, and Lucas Chattin, all of Dahlonega.
