Walton Frederick Bratten

Walton Frederick Bratten, age 72 of Clermont, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Mr. Bratten was born June 24, 1940 in Parsonsburg, MD to the late William Frederick and Edna Mae Phillips Bratten. He graduated Federalsburg Maryland High School and he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Bratten was a member of Murrayville Masonic Lodge # 30 where he served as past Master Mason and was member of the Shrine. He was worked in the poultry industry for 43 years and a cattle farmer. Mr. Bratten was an avid gardener, apiarist, and above all a humanitarian with a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Ruenell Ellis Bratten, Clermont; sons and daughters-in-law, Warren and Angie Bratten, Gainesville; Keith Sizemore and Patricia Monteiro, Clermont; daughter, Tana Bratten, Clermont; grandchildren, Cody Bratten, Courtney Brown, both of Gainesville; Molly Sizemore, Aurora, CO; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Roger Lilly, Gainesville; and many other relatives also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2013 from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Ken Anderson and the Rev. Craig Summit will officiate. Interment will follow at Shoal Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday and 3-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
