Ralph Thomas 'Tom' Raymond Powers

Ralph Thomas "Tom" Raymond Powers, age 79 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.


A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Antioch United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. His family and friends will be officiating.


Tom was born June 19, 1933 in McComus, West Virginia to the late James Clay Powers and Hattie Edwards Powers. He served in the U. S. Army and retired from Leece-Neville. Tom enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.


Tom is survived by his wife, Frances "Irene" Powers of Gainesville, his daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda Hudson-Roshau and Joe Roshau of Murrayville, his grandsons, Vernie Clifford "Buck" Hudson of Murrayville and Joda Lee Roshau of Murrayville, and sisters, Patricia Powers of Roanoke, Virginia and Geraldine Neely of Princeton, West Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.
