Powell Ayers

Powell Gean Ayers, age 67 of Cleveland, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Ayers was born September 22, 1945 in Cleveland, GA to the late Noel and Mary Lou Sargent Ayers. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Blue Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Ayers was preceded in death by his sister Janice Ayers.

Tammy and Bradley Holloway, Cleveland; Rhonda and Seth Caudell, Cleveland;
Cassie and Daniel Schmidt, Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and
Jessie Ledford, Clarkesville; grandchildren, Chase Holloway, Dylan Holloway,
Tristan Holloway, Hunter Holloway, Savannah Caudell, Bryson Caudell, Kiernan
Schmidt, Darla Schmidt, Jackson Ledford; brother, Dan Ayers, Cleveland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Frances Ayers, Dahlonega; Ricky and Ann Ayers, Clermont; sister, Peggy Anderson, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law, Glenda and Lonnie Gravitt, Cleveland; mother-in-law, Mary Helen Adams, Cleveland; brothers-in-law, Perry Chumbler, Cleveland; Ronald Chumbler, Cleveland; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Milton and Shirley Chumbler, Murrayville; aunt, Bea Chase, Chester, VA.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Blue Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Jason Daniel, the Rev. Chris Anderson and the Rev. Matt Pruitt will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
