Marie Grogan Grizzle

Mrs. Marie Grogan Grizzle, age 89, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013.

She had been a resident of Foothills Personal Care Home in Lumpkin County for the past 4 years and had lived in Lumpkin County since 1965, coming from Marietta, GA.

She was the daughter of the late William Alfred and Missouri Turner Grogan, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert Grizzle; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Marie is survived by her daughter, Veronica Grizzle, of Gainesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law Don and Jean Grizzle, of Dahlonega; sons, Dennis Grizzle of Dahlonega and Charles Grizzle of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Susan and Robby McMahan, Rodney and Kelly Grizzle, Ashleigh, Jake and Shane Grizzle; great grandchild, Sam McMahan. Several nieces and nephews, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Marie are scheduled for 11AM Monday May 13, 2013 at Banister Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Stephen Adams will officiate.

Interment will follow at Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery in Dahlonega, GA.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA from 4PM until 9PM on Sunday, May 12.
