Bertha Scroggins Conley

Bertha Scroggins Conley, 92, of Eustis FL passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at the Ruleme Center in Eustis, FL.


She was born July 27, 1920 in Columbus, GA to the late William and Flora Carver. Over her life she lived in Bossier City, LA, Lake Wales, FL, Gainesville GA, and later relocating to Eustis FL. She was a homemaker and a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Lake Wales FL.


Bertha was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Joe Scroggins; second husband, Elijha Conley; son, Billy Scroggins, brothers; Jack Carver, Albert Carver; sisters, Georgia Ann Woods, Betty Lois and Mary Lyles.


Survivors include her son, Gerald Ray Scroggins of Kyle, TX; daughters, Dorothy Schwan of Buford GA, and Cathie Cooper of Eustis FL; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.


Visitation will be held Thursday May 9, 2013 from 6pm-8pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held May 10, 2013 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Rev. Drewery Loggins officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
