Aubrey Wayne Lindsey

Aubrey Wayne Lindsey, 59, of Dawsonville, GA died on May 4, 2013. Born in Decatur, GA he was the son of the late Aubrey and Rader Lindsey. He is also predeceased by his brothers, James, David and Gerry Lindsey.

Wayne served 20 years in the US Army. After retirement, he was Chief of Police in Cumming from 1986 to 1995. He also served as Director of New Development/Special Projects in the Maintenance Department of the City of Cumming.

Wayne is survived by his sons, Vic Lindsey and Kevin Lindsey of Cumming, GA; daughter, Audrey (Alan) Bryan of Chester, SC; sisters, Linda (Mike) Hickey of Douglasville, GA and Angie (Mike) Church of Dahlonega, GA; his dearest friend, Joyce Lindsey of Cumming, GA; and much-loved grandchildren, Tyson Bryan and Hope and Payton Lindsey.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Rev. Shad Faulkner and Rev. Gerald Blackburn will officiate. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 7 from 2:00
