Billy Jack Kinney

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Billy Jack Kinney, age 83, of Talmo, who passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013.

Mr. Kinney was born in Hall County, GA, a son to the late J.H. Kinney Sr. and the late Essie Bridges Kinney. Mr. Kinney who, along with his father and siblings, owned and operated J.H. Kinney and Sons Feed and Seeds in Jefferson and Talmo for 44 years. Mr. Kinney was a member of the Talmo Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kinney is preceded by his wife, Betty Jean Williams Kinney, step-mother, Frances Hill Kinney, sister, Annie Lou Kinney, brothers, John H. Kinney Jr., Harry Kinney and Harold "Mutt" Kinney.

Survivors include his daughters and son in law, Amy and Rex Palmer, Cleveland, Karen Rice, Cleveland, brother, Joe Kinney, Talmo, and two grandchildren, Leann Wade and Jon-Jay Wade, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 11am in the Talmo Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Spence officiating. The burial will follow in the Talmo Baptist Church Cemetery with Rex Palmer, Jon-Jay Wade, Melvin Porter, Bud Kinney, Steve Kinney and Scott Kinney honored as pallbearers. The visitation will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2013, 2-4 and 6-9pm at the funeral home.
