Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Jessie Grindle, age 75 of Murrayville. Mrs. Grindle passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013.
Funeral services are sceduled for 12:00 pm, Wednesday.May 8, 2013 from Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2 with Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Stephen Gerrells and Rev. Les Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Grindle will lie in state at the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Mrs. Grindle was born in Lumpkin County on March 26, 1938 to the late Ezra Lance and Ada Lee Lance. She was employed for several years with Barrow Manufacturing Company and co owned a store with her husband, and prior to her retirement she worked for Dairy Queen in Dahlonega. Mrs. Grindle is preceded in death by her husband, Sewell Grindle and sister and brother in law, LaVerne and James Early and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church #2
Survivors include her sons and daughters in law, Jeffrey and Angie Grindle, Murrayville; Joey and Jody Grindle also of Murrayville; grandchildren, Anthony and Brooke Grindle, Jonah Grindle, Jade Grindle, Jordan Grindle, Kyle Grindle, Amanda and Brent Butler, Casey Grindle, Brad Gooch, Nicole and Randy Hampel; great grandchildren, Ella Kate Butler, Coleman and Hunter Hampel and Kinsey and Kylie Hampel.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday and Tuesday from 6 to 9 pm.
