William Sampson Austin

Mr. William Sampson Austin, age 79, of Maysville, GA died Friday, May 3, 2013 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Austin was born in Ila to the late Wiley and Mary Scoggins Austin. He was a member of Maysville Baptist Church and was retired from Fresh Frozen Foods. Mr. Austin was a former mayor and councilman of Maysville.

Mr. Austin is survived by his wife, Lorene Doris Ingram of Maysville; daughters, Wanda Austin Smith and Pam Austin Keefe both of Maysville; son, William Kenneth Austin of Commerce; sisters, Susie Cobb of Seneca, SC and Minnie Turner of Newry, SC; brother, Melvin Austin of Easley, SC and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM, Sunday, May 5 at Maysville Baptist Church with Dr. Brian Stowe and Rev. David Sharpton officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 4 to 7 PM.
