James Manuel Carson

Funeral services for James Manuel Carson, age 93, of Clayton, will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 1:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Dr. Frank Cox will officiate with interment to follow the service in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Carson died May 2, 2013 at Marieta's Mission Personal Care Home in Lawrenceville.

Born in Clarkesville on July 8, 1919, Mr. Carson was the son of the late Manuel and Alice Jones Carson. Mr. Carson was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a retired inspector for Lockheed. In addition to his parents, Mr. Carson is preceded in death by his wife Mary Entrekin Carson and son Tommie Ray Carson.

Survivors include sons and daughters in law Jimmy "Kit" and Jenny Carson of Merritt Island, Florida, Johnny and Faye Carson of Lilburn, Bill and Wanda Carson of Lawrenceville, and Ricky and Alcira Carson of Dacula, as well as eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 4 - 7 PM.
