Beatrice Lowman

Beatrice Lowman, 83, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday April 30, 2013 at Friendship Health Center following a period of declining health.

Born March 28, 1930 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Tom and Tinnie Carter, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. A homemaker at her death, she was formerly employed at K-Bar, Sweet-Orr and worked several years as a sitter with the elderly. Beatrice was a member of Goshen Baptist Church and was also preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy Joe Lowman, three sisters and four brothers.

Surviving are her children, Patricia Lowman, Clermont, Roy and Linda Lowman, Gainesville, Billy Joe "Joey" and Sandy Lowman, Dawsonville, Jimmy Lowman, Dawsonville, Ronnie Lowman, Marble Hill; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday May 3, 2013 at 1 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ruel Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 until 8 at the funeral home.
