Bessie Lou Wilkie

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 2, 2013 in the Ward's Funeral Home Chapel for Bessie Lou Turner Carder Wilkie age 81 of Cleveland. The Rev. Willard Fuller and Rev. Mike Grizzle will officiate. Interment will follow in New Liberty Cemetery in Cleveland, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m and 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m at the funeral home. Mrs. Wilkie passed away Tuesday April 30, 2013 following an extended illness.

Mrs. Wilkie was born in White County to the late Hubert Turner and Fannie Mae Abertson Turner. She had worked for General Motors Corporation. She was a member of the United Auto Workers and was of the Holiness faith. She was preceded in death by her Son Rickey Carder.

Survivors include, Husband, Bill Wilkie, Cleveland, Sons and Daughters-in-Laws, Jerry F. and Brenda Carder, Gainesville, David and Debbie Carder, Cleveland, Daughter, Martha Murphy, Cleveland, Daughter and Son-in-Law, Diane and Tony Smallwood, St. Augustine, FL, Step-Daughter, Barbara Ann Worley, Jasper, GA, Sisters, Lela Norrell, Gainesville, Lena Mae Abernathy, Gainesville, Brothers, Stanley Turner, Gainesville, Junior Turner, Gainesville, 14 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 5 Great-Great Grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
