Doris Evelyn Holman Eidson

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Doris Evelyn Holman Eidson, age 84, of Winder, GA, who passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.

Mrs. Eidson was born in Oakwood, GA, a daughter to the late Isaac Lester Holman and the late Mamie Jane Garmon Holman. Mrs. Eidson was a retired Floor Supervisor from Landress-Smith Corporation in Hoschton and was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Winder. Mrs. Eidson was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Newton Eidson Sr.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Patsy and Ralph Maxwell, Lexington, Mary and Rev. Randy Bell, Hixson, TN, daughter, Sheila Eidson, Rutledge, sons and daughters in law, Jerry and Sandra Eidson, Hoschton, Wayne and Connie Eidson Jr., Ringgold, GA, grandchildren, Jennifer Eidson Pierce, Kathy Eidson Hoover and Jeff, Kristina Turner and John, Kathryn O'Kain, Joey Eidson, Leslie and Jim Turner, Shelley and Scott Kester, Daniel and Anna Bell , Amanda and Dr. Alan Hensley , Lori and Chris Rains, Victoria Eidson, and 18 Great Grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11am in the Chapel of Evans Funeral home with Rev. Randy Bell and Rev. Tony Powers officiating.

The burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder, GA. The visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
