Billy Charles Cowart

Billy Charles Cowart, age 72, of Cumming, passed away on April 23, 2013. Billy was of the Baptist faith.

He loved being outdoors, cars, fishing and his roosters. Most of all, he loved his family. He his preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Clay and Edith Kate Lawson Cowart.



Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Doris Cowart of Cumming; daughter, Tammy (Clinton) Sheriff of Dawsonville; son, Tyler Cowart of Cumming; grandchildren, Blakely and Madison Sheriff; sister and brother in law, Linda (Harold) Gravitt of Cumming; aunt, Inez Howard of Alpharetta; brother in laws and sister in laws, Charles (Louise) Payne of Buford, Eddie (Brenda) Payne of Flowery Branch, Donald Payne of Forest City, NC, Catherine Sudderth of Buford, Charlene (Sammy) Mayfield of Buford, Debra (Tommy) Gaillard of Maysville; numerous nieces and nephews.





Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Bottoms and Rev. Terry Cowart officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, April 25, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
