Ava Watkins

Mrs. Ava Watkins, 95 of Suches died Thursday April 18, 2013 at her residence.

A lifelong resident of Fannin County, Mrs. Watkins was the daughter of the late Elisha and Bertha Tarpley Woody. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Pleasant (Hill) Baptist Church #2 in Suches.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Watkins, Suches, sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Dixie Watkins, Braselton, Arlie and Bobbie Watkins, McDonough; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Wayne Underwood, Murrayville; grandchildren, Chris Watkins, Gainesville; Priscilla Seabolt, Cumming; Scott Watkins, Peachtree City; great grand children Christen Watkins, Gainesville, Graham Watkins, Gainesville, Chloe Seabolt, Cumming, Nathaniel Seabolt, Cumming, Asia Watkins, Saya Watkins, both of Peachtree City; sister Clora Woody of Suches.

Mrs. Watkins is preceded in death by her husband Griffie Watkins.

The body will lie in state at the Mount Pleasant (Hill) Baptist Church # 2 in Suches on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 20, 2013 at 2 pm at the church. Rev. William Phillips, Rev. Ricky Stone, and Rev. Paul Tritt will officiate. Interment will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Friday April 19, 2013 from 6-9pm.
