Revis D. Blakeney, Jr

Revis D. Blakeney Jr., age 60, owner of Cloneworks Computers and Networking went to be with the Lord Tuesday afternoon after a courageous battle with cancer. Revis was raised in Gainesville, GA and attended Furman University in South Carolina, North Georgia College in Dahlonega Ga and a special studies program at University of Tennessee. He was blessed with a beautiful baritone voice and performed in several plays and church programs in his youth and was in Ruth Thomas Choral at Tusculum College in the late 1980's. He was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God and was an active member in the choir loving to sing solos whenever asked.

Revis was the son of Pauline B. Blakeney of Greeneville and the late Revis D. Blakeney.

He is also survived by his wife and best friend of 24 years, Julie Eggebrecht Blakeney, her daughter Kristina Shelton whom he called "daughter" and his grand-dog Shelby. He is also survived by a brother in law, Robert Eggebrecht Jr. of Chicago and Kathy Eggebrecht of Orange California. Special aunts and Uncles, Jim and Montie B Dye of Mosheim, James Reed and Penny Blakeney of Social Circle, Georgia and Mrs. Jack (Lou) Brown of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Cousins who he loved as siblings Julie (Mrs. Steve) Hensley of Chuckey, Pam (Michael) Doty of South Carolina, Linda (Johnny) Smith of Mosheim, Celia (Andy) Smith of Greeneville, Jimmy Dye of Asheville, NC, Lois Carol (Joe) Drucke of Georgia, Tommy (Susie) Brown of Florida, Diana (David) Shaw and David S. Brown of Alabama. He has several other cousins from Georgia and Alabama that he also loved and a host of 2nd and 3rd cousins that he claimed as children.

His gentle nature and quick wit made him a great deal of special friends, Tim Teague, Danny Gwyne, Stevie and Howie Mullis, Patrick Sneed, Dr. and Mrs. Ronnie Williams, Ray Adams, Dan and Alex McLean, Johnny and Melissa Davis, Teresa and Bobby Jones, Linda Kiker, Renea Ambrose, Leonard Shelton Jr, Marlene Harrell, Ronald Rouse, David Peake, Steven Peake, Rick Lilly, Tom Hopson, John Jacobs, Wayne Robertson and Pastor Bob and his brothers and sisters at Lighthouse Assembly of God.
