Iona Frances Nix

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Iona Frances Nix, age 81 of Cleveland. Mrs. Nix passed away, Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Memorial services are sceduled for 1:00 pm, Monday, April 15, 2013 from Town Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Fortner officiating.

Mrs. Nix was born in White County on July 2, 1931 to the late George Turner and Ramie Eldridge Turner. She was an Adult Caregiver and was a member of Town Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Nix is preceded in death by her husbands, Onley Nix and Cecil James Nix as well as her son Larry Nix and son in law Barry Odum.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Bill and Kristy Nix, Gainesville; daughter, Judy Odum, Demorest; daughter and son in law, Carol and Bobby Donaldson, Cleveland; daughter in law, Jackie Nix, Flowery Branch ;brother, Vernon Turner, Oakwood; sisters, Helen O'Kelley, Gladys Turner and Alma Turner all of Gainesville and Beatrice Ellen Bernier of Cleveland as well as 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren
