Malcum RT Bruce

Malcum RT Bruce, 80, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday April 6, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.

Born July 29, 1932 to the late Lonnie and Pearlie Bruce, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. Mr. Bruce worked as a stone cutter for The Georgia Marble Company in Nelson where he retired after 40 years of service. Mr. Bruce was a member of the Dawsonville Church of God of Prophecy. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Barney Bruce, Ray Bruce and sisters, Bobbie Anderson, Jane Barrett.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Bruce, Dawsonville; daughters and sons in law, Tammy and Keith Chester, Dawsonville, Tracy and Russell Cowart, Dawsonville; son and daughter in law, Terrell and Lisa Bruce, Dawsonville; grandchildren and spouses, Harmony and Cory Gee, Corey Bruce, Cherish and Cory Gilleland, Danielle and Russ Chambers, Quincey Bruce, Carissa Cowart, Gabriel Cowart; great-grandchildren, Amelia Gee, Lilly Chambers, Ellie Chambers, Keyleigh Gilleland, Canaan Gilleland, Wyatt Chambers; sisters, Nettie Millwood, Kathryn Hubbard, Eunice Bruce, Janice Daniel, Judy Bruce, Carolyn Hicks, Julie Honea; brother, Ralph Bruce; a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 9, 2013 at 3 o'clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. James Kanaday, Rev. David Smith, and Rev. Cory Gilleland will officiate. Interment will follow in the Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2 until 8 on Monday at the funeral home.
