Betty Joann Ashley

Betty Joann Ashley, age 75 of Gainesville, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at New Horizons Limestone following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Smiley and Pastor David Havice officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 8, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ashley was born September 18, 1937 in Dekalb County, Alabama to the late Quinton and Gartrell Pertree. She was a Mary Kay Consultant and attended Lakewood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents.

Mrs. Ashley is survived by her husband, Gene Ashley of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Troy "Toby" Baker of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Mack and Ann Ashley of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Alan "Zeb" and Rhonda Ashley of Gainesville; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Carol Pertree of Fort Payne, Alabama; grandchildren, Haley Ashley, Nicolette Ashley, Payton Baker, Taylor Baker; special friends, Carolyn and Marty Tabacchi of Gainesville.
