Mrs. Mary Evelyn Small, 84, of Gainesville, GA passed away on April 3, 2013, following a period of declining health.
Born in Hall County, she was the daughter of the late James Ernest and Mabel Casper Rogers. A 1947 graduate of Gainesville High School, Mrs. Small retired from Egleston Children's Health Care of Atlanta after 40 years. She attended Free Chapel Worship Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Hansford Small, daughter, Mary Laura Small and grandson, Philip "Marty" Haynes.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Henry Tench; daughter, Vicki Gable; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Randy Mooney all of Gainesville; granddaughters and husbands, Lindsey and Barry Exley, Stacia and Brett Dillin all of Gainesville; brother and spouse, "Bill" Rogers and Louise Christy all of Gainesville; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Dwayne Wellborn will officiate. Interment will follow in Harmony Hall Baptist Church Cemetery Gillsville, GA. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
