Jack L. Harris

Mr. Jack L. Harris, age 82, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Jean D. Harris, Flowery Branch, GA; children, Holly and Bob Stephan, Alpharetta, GA and Clay Harris, Flowery Branch, GA; granddaughters, Julie Barnes, Columbus, GA, Erin Shurbutt, Marietta, GA and Lauren Blaska, Smyrna, GA; brother and sister-in-law, John L. and Laree Harris, Phoenix City, AL; and sister, Betty Harris, Goldsboro, NC. Mr. Harris was born July 23, 1930 in Phoenix City, AL. He was a 1948 graduate of Central High School in Phoenix City, AL and attended Columbus College. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served in Korea. He was retired from AT&T in Atlanta, GA after thirty-five years of service. He was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Buford.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Buford, GA with Rev. Paul Garner and Rev. Larry Rary officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 3219 Bethlehem Church Road, Buford, GA 30518 in memory of Jack L.
